Do not taste! Do not touch!\u201d? These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings. Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time […] You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.\u201d (2 Tim 1:9; 2:1)<\/em><\/p> \u201cThose who are sanctified in Christ Jesus are called to be holy.\u201d (1 Cor 1:2)\u00a0<\/em><\/p> “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” (Col 2:6-7)<\/em><\/p> \u201cNow it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ.\u201d (2 Cor 1:21)<\/em><\/p> \u201cFor no matter how many promises God has made, they are \u201cYes\u201d in Christ. And so through him the \u201cAmen\u201d is spoken by us to the glory of God.\u201d (2 Cor 1:20)<\/em><\/p> \u201cFor we are God\u2019s handiwork, created <\/em>in<\/em><\/strong> <\/em>Christ<\/em><\/strong> Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.\u201d (Eph 2:10)<\/em><\/p> \u201cAnd my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.\u201d (Phil 4:19)<\/em><\/p>
Last night I had a revelation about being a \u2018New Creation\u2019 . When my future husband meets me, or anyone meets me for that matter, my past will not be part of me anymore. [My ex-fiance] always saw it as a part of me \u2013 my past \u2013 yet still a part of me. I still carry myself in a way that is kind of sexual \u2013 I still carry myself as if I\u2019ve been well-used. But I will literally be as a virgin. Pure.<\/strong><\/p>

It wasn\u2019t Joshua who was dirty; it was just the clothes he was wearing. He didn\u2019t need a change of skin, he just needed a change of clothes.<\/strong><\/p>Let\u2019s take a look at what it means to be in Christ (based on Romans 8 and Ephesians 1:3-8):\u00a0<\/h2>
